What doesn't bend breaks

Perhaps the most important skill learned by working with others is the ability to listen, process what is being communicated, and sincerely engage with the possibilities offered. This is not only a sign of respect for your collaborators, but also the most efficient way to expand your own mind, create new pathways in your brain, and become more creative. We are all the product of every idea that came before, and with that comes a certainty and resistance to change. But by being dedicated to seeing through conceptual problems and design challenges within a team, you are also doing yourself the favour of earning an invaluable human skill: communication.
